Creating a Cancellation Quote

On the Policy page, click the “Cancel Policy” button (shown here in red).

When the cancel dialog appears, fill out any required information and click “Cancel Policy”.  If you do not wish to proceed through the cancellation steps, click the “Cancel” or “X” button in the dialog.

Clicking either the “Cancel” or “X” button will return you to the policy page.

Clicking the “Cancel Policy” button will initiate a request to cancel the policy.  Performing this action does not cancel the policy, but makes a request to the insurer to obtain a quote for cancellation.  The insurer will respond with premium and other information relevant to the cancellation.  When the response is received from the insurer, the policy will display in Digital Trader with a status of “Cancelling”.  The information received from the insurer will be displayed on the results page.

Accepting a Cancelation to cancel a Policy

On the results page of the cancellation quote, if the broker wishes to finalise and accept the cancellation, press the “Accept” button (displayed above in red).  This will open a new confirmation dialog.

Fill out any required fields in the dialog and click “Confirm Cancellation” to finalise the cancellation process.  If you do not wish to finalise the cancellation process, click the “Cancel” or “X” button in the dialog.  Clicking the “Cancel” or “X” button will return the user to the results page with the policy still in a “Cancelling” status.

Clicking the”Confirm Cancellation” button will again initiate a request to cancel the policy to the insurer.  When the insurer responds, the policy will now show as “Cancelled” in Digital Trader.  At this point, no further action can be taken on the policy.  Cover details and endorsement/conditional information from the insurer can still be viewed on a cancelled policy by clicking the “Details” button.

Rejecting an open Cancellation Quote

After requesting a cancellation quote, it is possible to reject that quote within the Digital Trader platform.  In order to reject a cancellation quote, click the “Reject” button on the results page.  (Shown below)

After clicking the “Reject” button, a confirmation message will display.  If the user does not wish to reject the quote, clicking the “Close” or “X” button will return the user to the results page and the quote will not be rejected.  Clicking the “Reject” button will reject the cancellation quote and return the user to the Live Policy page where the status of the policy will be displayed as live.

Viewing previously rejected Cancellation quotes

Cancellation quotes can be viewed in the search results like any other quote or policy.  The “Type” column will display “Cancellation” to signify the status of the quote.

Clicking “View” will bring the user to the cancellation quote results page.
