A request to an insurer may result in an Acknowledged status, indicating that the insurer has received the request but can not provide an immediate response. In most cases, this will be because an underwriter needs to review the information.
To allow the broker to check whether the Acknowledged request has been updated on the insurer system, a “Check Status” button is provided on the results row for that insurer.
Clicking on this button starts a request to the insurer system to check on the status of their response.
- If the response HAS NOT been updated, the request will stay in Acknowledged status, with information on the last time the status was checked. The Check Status button will still be present, allowing the broker to check again later.
- If the response HAS been updated, all relevant data will be returned from the insurer system, e.g. premium and quote documents if it is now Quoting.
