Select Policy
Use the Search page to find the policy to edit.
- You can search using the insurer's Policy Reference number, or the BDT Reference.
- You can also use the Search filter to display only Policies.
Once you have found the correct Policy in the search results, see its full data by clicking "View".
On the footer of the Policy table, click the the "Create MTA" button to open the MTA Quote Form.
MTA Quote Form
The form is pre-filled with the risk data used for the quote from which the Policy was bound.
The form will pre-set with the cover provided by the Policy, not with that requested in the original quote.
For example, if the original New Business submission requested a risk cover of £6m, but the Policy purchased only provided £3m, the MTA Quote form will load with a policy value of £3m pre-selected.
Note that this feature is currently not supported by all insurers |
The MTA Effective Date must be set before submitting the data. The Effective date must be within the term of the Policy to be adjusted.
Note that the base Quote Form may have changed since the time the original New Business quote was created, and so the form should be reviewed carefully to ensure that all data entered is correct.
Save Draft
It is possible to save a draft of any changes made prior to submitting the request to the insurer. You can then retrieve the saved draft via the Search page.
Submit
On pressing Submit, you are presented with a view of all the entered values for review.
This includes validation information for fields that you may have missed during your initial edit.
If an error is present, click on that error to close the pop-up and automatically scroll to that field.
If the entered data is valid and correct, confirm and click Submit to send the MTA Quote data to the insurer and proceed to the Results page.
